Masterworks Renaissance, Baroque, and Early Modern Prints and Drawings from the Darlene K. Morris Collection

This exhibition presents a collection of old master and modern prints and drawings, representing many of the leading artists from the Renaissance to the mid-twentieth century. It features works by artists such as Albrecht Altdorfer, Thomas Hart Benton, Pierre Bonnard, Mary Cassatt, Albrecht Dürer, Fransisco de Goys, Reginald Marsh, Henri Matisse, Jean-François Millet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Rembrandt van Rijn, James McNeill Whistler and Grant Wood.

Picasso and the Circus: Fin-de-Siècle and the Suite de Saltimbanques

Picasso and the circus examines a pivotel moment in Picasso’s early career, between his Blue and Rose periods, c.1900-1905. It is divided into two separate but interrelated componants. The Circus in Fin-de-Siècle Paris considers the subject of the circus and the role of such entertainment spectacles in the art of the time. The second component, the Suite de Saltimbanques, features Picasso’s most important early etchings, which focus on acrobats in the Paris circus.

The exhibition is a collaboratove project wioth works from the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum and Fundacíon Pablo Ruiz/Museo Casa Nata
